Has anyone got insurance with Liverpool Victoria on a Type R?
Reason i ask is that speaking to them on the phone a few weeks back
they dont list specificly a "Type R" they call it a "2 door STI"
(Apart from all the 4 doors obviously).
Iwas quoted about 700 quid but im not sure where id stand if i took out the policy and then had a claim.
Does it have to specificly state Type R 2 door STI?
This quote was about 300 quid less than my present insurer N.U.
so it would be nice if i could get around it.

Thats what i thought, fooked if i know!
When i said Type R to this sort on the phone,
she said not listed, all ive got is 2 door STI.
I wouldnt want a claim only for them to say, sorry sir, your not insured because we dont have a Type R listed.

hi mate ive got L V insurance on a type r and asked the same
question. They said if it sez type r on just the car and not
the log book then your ok (which it duz).If it sez type r on
the log book then they cant insure you. Mines 680 quid.
Just had mine *** ended and the parts alone came to £4600 so
it looks like a write off. Ill let you know if i have any
trouble
