Who's got the best P1 deal then?

thats quite dear.
I'm 23yo payin £1700 on an STI5 TypeR.
Assuming P1's are cheaper to insure as they are UK cars I would have though a 30yo would get it for well under a grand

£900 30 y/o full no claims, luton. was a clean licence but now have 6 points and up for renewal. Shouldnt think that P1 will be much more than a bog UK car, apart from the price differential, all P1s have Tracking system as standard.

I paid £900 on MY00 with Greenlight (Age 28, 5yrs NCD), changed for a P1 and it only added an extra £100 to my annual premium. Not much really for the extra BHP and fun Go 4 it!

Hanley,
I don't know if its a recent thing, but apparently LV won't insure under 30's in Imprezas now.
Perhaps someone could confirm?
I'm certainly aware of plenty of threads on ScoobyNet stating that they couldn't get cover under 30.
Also, I've had a couple of "hypothetical" quotes on LV's site and they were astronomical!
P1 Sonic,
Thats some quote mate!
Whats your occupation if you don't mind me asking? (don't feel obliged to say if you don't want to. )

I think it's only Group 20 cars that LV require you to be over 30 to insure so that would be P1's, STi's but not UK turbo's(Grp 17) and WRX's(Grp 19).

I'm intending to get a P1 sooner rather than later, but I'm worried about the insurance.
I'm 27 with 7 yrs NCD and live in Glasgow and my insurance on my MY00 is over £1k.
How much are you P1 owners paying and what age are you/bonus you got?
Cheers.

When I changed from a modified UK to a P1 (modified exhaust) Liverpool Vic wanted an extra £16 per month
Total £700, age 40, 72% NCB, protected, business miles, 1x SP30, West Country post code
LV only insure over 25s and are very 'loose' on mods, give 'em a try
LV class the P1 the same as an STI Type R, Grp 20.
Good luck ...
