Second car insurance for track day use????

Hello guys and Gals.
Looking to buy myself a car to use as a run around (save the mileage on my STi) strip the seats, additional weight etc, stick a cage in, a few small mods and use it on the track every now and then.
Had one quote so far of £900 oh my god, for third party only on a £500 Pug 205 GTi.
Anyone help with good companies to try?
Oh and I only pay £850 on my £24K STi8.......

im with these for my scoob - 29, SP11 postcode, Full NCB, they're not bothered about mods or security etc
I pay £730 FC which includes trackday cover (anytime i want) & continetal cover (got B&W proof of trackday cover today)
God knows how cheap a pug would be for you
