May be of interest to people insured with Liv & Vic.
Wrote to Liv & Vic approx 2 monrths ago askig for confirmation of track cover
just received confirmation of track cover in writting today. letter reads as follows:
Thank you for your leter dated 29 July 2003. Sorry for the late response.
Trackday use is covered under your existing motor policy as long as you are attending a pre organised event and you have purchased a legitimate ticket to participate. May i just remind you of the exclusion section on your certificate. (<think this means speed trials/racing etc)

I queried this when I joined LV and they said trackdays are not excluded from the policy book, but I should take note of the exclusion note as they have said to you. When I queried this further the underwriters said that if it was deemed I had been over driving the car which led to an accident then they would not pay out, how they would prove this is another matter. There have been many discussions on LV's stance on trackdays and IMO you should take out seperate trackday cover as LV's is sketchy to say the least.
