Just looking at what Tesco's is going to charge me for an Impreza.

26, 6 yrs NCB, low crime area, DR10 04/01.

UK Wagon - £1027
UK 4 door - £1023
RB5! - £1023

Import Wagon - £1643!!
Import 4 door - £1643
WRX STI Type R V5 - £1643

I thought wagons were supposed to be cheaper to insure? and as for a import wagon costing the same to insure as an STI I guess Tesco just not sure on how to class these cars.

Double check the quotes. It's amazing how Tesco staff can mangle the figures. I had two radically different prices for the increase in premium on the PPP upgrade to my WRX.

Cheers

Just got quoted £1,123 from Privelige for WRX Wagon with PPP. How does that compare? Just about to ring Tesco.

Why am I suspicious about the quote I just got from Tescos. £796.95 fully comp protected NCB 36 year old me and 31 year old Mrs P WITH PPP!

It's been recorded as an engine upgrade. Which it is so sounds like it's right. And the guy checked with his supervisor.

Anyone care to comment?

Thing is, if you make sure they've recorded your mods correctly and still quote a surprisingly low figure they can't turn round a few weeks later and say "Oh, sorry we got your premium wrong give us another £200+"

They have to honour it.
