Have just tried Norwich Union direct with suprising results.
MY97 wagon
30 year old,
good postcode,
18k miles per annum,
4yrs ncb (protected),
free courtesy car, legal protection, personal accident cover
£682
Just be prepared to umm and ahh a bit and they'll knock 10% off there and then, (if your prepared to buy) - just phone them last.
My renewal from Tesco was £865,
Adrian Flux £795 and L & V somewher in the middle
Happy insurance hunting

Hey,
I went wiv them too.
Got a MY00 wagon, I technically have no no claims bonus, having been a company car driver for bout 7 years. Anyway they agreed to honour my "accident free time" and give me full no claims, obviously I kept the sliding round corners bit quite
Anyway, 27 year old male, fully comp bout £850, which is about half wot I was being offered elsewhere.
I foned 'em 2day and told bout the zorst and the wheels, and now they've dragged another £120 out of me, still cant win em all I s'pose
