I have a 172 and I have to renew at the end of the month. The only answer is a lot of patience and a comfy chair. I have contacted over thirty people now. The fourth was Halifax and they quoted me £653. The thirtieth was Adrian Flux and they were £605.

If you are serious just persevere. I am dead chuffed with my car. You won't be unhappy. Try www.cliosport.co.uk. Full of helpfull stuff. (Watch out for the cup owners though. He He ;-)

my last car was a 172 it is a group 16 for insurance and i was insured by esure for £368 fully comp with protected no claims

I had a brand new mk1 172 when I was 18 insured with WhatCar? Magazine insurance.

Paid £2,400 per year and then did my best to try to write it off... (don't ask!)

Just got a quote from Direct Line and it was £1077!!!!

I'm paying £550 with Bell Direct.

I take it you live in a field in the middle of nowhere to get a quote of £660 at 21????

i do actually live in a field in the middle of nowhere !! that was limited to 6k miles but i thought it was quite a good price!!
