Just bought a Subaru Turbo, and got a quote from confused.com. The lowest was from its4me/Fortis. I took this up & had been driving hapily for a week, when I checked the policy docs - they had Subaru Impreza GL on, even though I had entered my correct reg details, and car type. I phoned them up, and they said they wouldn't insure anyone under 35 for a Turbo! It took quite a fight to get a full refund.

Liverpool Victoria came through today, with a good quote though.

I found confused.com a waste of time. After entering all the information including mods, some companies refused to quote for modified vehicles, but one company was quoting a good price. When I phoned them, their good price didn't include mods at all, despite all of the insurance companies getting exactly the same information. Pants.

Had a similar problem. Stated on confused.com it was an import, got a quote from its4me and bought policy. Documents through and what do you know, details say turbo 2000 aka UK impreza.
