Angry ELEPHANT WONT INSURE ME

just tried an online qoute with elephant for a STI 04 PPP with prodrive springs , rear tints and prodrive wheels , i have 3 points (mm90) and a claim for nonrecoverd theft 3 years ago , still got my full no claims discount though , and they woudnt qoute me , anyone else had this ?? not got the car yet , but my current car (golf )is insured with tesco and im hoping to change over till renewal time (febuary)then do some shopping around
anyone else got a similar car (same mods )i would be interested where you have insured it

MM90? Do you mean an MS90? If so that may well be the main reason why they will not cover you.

yes its ms90 , failure to give identity of driver (thought the wife was driving at the time of the flash )

MS90 - Failing to give information as to identity of driver etc
Definitely reckon this is your problem, insurance companies take a dim view of offenses of this nature, couple that with group 20 car .................

prob a long shot , but ........ i recently renewed my licence to the new photo card one , and it came back clean ! the offence was in jan 01 , so do i still have to declare it , i know its five years for insurance but it dont show on my licence

It is valid for 4 years from the date of the offence, so January 2005 and it will no longer be valid.

trouble is insurance companies ask for convictions in the last FIVE years

If they ask you for 5 years tehn you will have to inform them. If you fail to inform them then they could cancel your insurance if they found out about it.

i`m told elephant dont insure cars with non factory tints either

it wasnt just the ms 90 they didnt like , got refused on the mods as well
