Default adding your partner who is under 25 to your policy ??

I can easily insure a scooby now i'm 25, but i have hit a brick wall when it comes to adding the wife on my policy.

Not one of the insurance companys that gave me a decent quote ie under £1200 will insure me if i have the wife on the policy aswell.
Anyone know of any companys that would insure a 25 year old on a bug eye wrx with a 24year old female on their policy?

These are the quotes ive had without 'her' on my policy. Ive got 7 years no claims and a clean driving licence and i live in smelly bradford. The car quoted is a bugeye wrx parked on the road worth 12k.

1st
£969fully comp with privilage
its 1128.75 for above but protected no claims. so i aint going to bother.

2nd
Directline
£1030 fully comp only
£1180 fully comp protected

3rd
Admiral
£1157 fully comp only
£1233 fully comp protected

4th
Elephant
£1205 fully comp only
£1285 fully comp protected

Admiral / Elephant / Bell Direct seem to welcome women as additional drivers. I checked it out online recently and there was less than £100 difference between me only (30, 13 years driving, 3 years no claims) and adding my wife too (23, 0 years driving) for my car which is a '97 with de-cat, re-map and big brakes.

For reference it's about £1200 either way. I'm currently with L&V for about £800, but they are getting "funny" about mods and they won't allow Mhairi on the policy too until she is over 25.
