Default comprehensive cover facts ?

with comprehensive cover does it mean you have third party cover while driving any car ?

Only if it says so on you policy documents.

It generally does mean that you do, but there are exceptions - such as if you are under 23, or 25, or whatever other age the insurer uses. As anc-sti says, it will be on your insurance documents.

Your just as likely to have the 'driving other cars' extension on a third party fire & theft policy but there are many reasons for 'doc' being removed, such as age (as mentioned) or occupation (anyone associated with the motor trade for example).

It does not matter what cover your policy is, if you meet your Insurance company's criteria your have it. It will always be detailed on the policy certificate.

i am with tesco looks like i am not covered by checking the certificate, says at the bottom


Please note that this certificate does not entitle you to drive any other car.
