Hi guys,
Dad died last week.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyone know if
a) his bike and car are still validly insured even though he's dead (for on drive / garage)
b) we can drive his car with my mum in it on our own policies (e.g. im insured to drive other cars 3rd party - but i cant get his consent any longer
).... or will they be invalid as he is dead?
Thanks!
Grim question sorry!
Jza

Hi
I'm sorry to hear your sad news.Technically the car and bike are now part of your dad's estate and until it is sorted out what happens to the car and bike you with the approval of an executor of the estate need to get the cover temporarily transferred to the executors. The insurance company may well want their names so that they can issue cover notes in the name of A N Smith and B A Brown as executors to the estate of A N Clark. It should be straightforward enough unless your dad did not make a will in which case I recommend you consult a solicitor for advice.
