Me: 36 years old, 65% No claims, clean licence and nothing changed in my circumstances in the last 12 months.
Car: MY04 STi PPP boggo standard

Insurance last year £950, this year £1350!
(Inc. biz use and covers girlfriend)

Excuse I got was this has been a bad year for the insurance industry etc etc etc..... yaawn. I have heard that since I was 17, the year they don't pay out is the year we don't need insurance.

Anyway tried the usual Tesco, Elephant etc. Then I got desperate and tried www.confused.co.uk and Norwich Union Direct came out best with a quote for £670 for a WR1! Would you believe the STi PPP isnt on their system? .....It is now!

Am I the only one to find L&V are increasing their prices massively???

Prices seems way too high.....have they made an honest mistake (Forget the honest bit lol).

Heres my details so you can compare:

Missus : 29 + 5 Years No Claims
Me: 26 Zero NCB
Car: MY00ppp Mods: Decat Centre, Vortex Exhaust, Sti6 Spolier + Stickers

Last year we paid £866 including Protected No Claims

Renewal came thru last week as its due 28th Jan.....for our 2nd year with them its come down to £795

Now compare with your qoutes just doesnt make sense

Try Asda they do online qoutes and they wasnt that far off LV worth a shot

Try Subaru Insured they've just quoted me less than the price you payed last year. I'm 32 on a 53 sti ppp with full no claims.

i'm with LV - 31 years old - Full no claims - MY98 - loads of mods - £600 last year, fully comp and protected.. due for renewal in 2 months, so be interesting to see the if it goes up...

They don't do modded cars anymore - as of Nov 16th 2004 - current customers will still be insured but you won't be able to mod the car anymore than it is on your current policy...I've rung 3 separate occassions to make sure I didn't speak to a n00b Each one said the same thing. Looks like a lot of the big insurers are going that way....

Same for me - 33, 75% NCD, £775 last year, £920 quote came through this morning, as mine's due at end of Jan - MY03 STI PPP - bloody awful.
