Default newbie forester

Im in a process of buying an import 2.0 turbo forester on a P reg. Can anyone recommend a good insurer?

Has anyone have got/own one of these? How is service cost/fuel cost?

Im really keen between a CR-V and a Forester. But like the rarerity of the turbo forester. I'd go for an Impreza but the group 19/20 is just too much for me at the momment plus need the space for the stuff my lil boy needs to carry around.

Any reply would be apreciated.

Dax

There were a couple of threads about this recently:
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=432818
and general info:
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=431960

If that doesn't help I'm sure Andy Tang will be along with more info...

(and once the modding bug bites you may find youself over on www.subaruforester.com of course...)

You'll need an insurer who doesn't go all wobbly about imports.

Privilege seem happy (I'm with them with a Forester STi), also A-Plan. Also try Tescos and Direct Line (they are both UK Insurance) to see what they say - there are quite a few of the 2.0 turbos about so they may cover it. Some of those may not cover it from their website, but if you talk to a human they can often quote on cars not listed online.

Another thread I recall:

you'll need to join us at www.surreyscoobies.co.uk too of course

A-Plan
Liverpool Vic
Direct Line
Privelige
Tesco's

and a few others , all would cover my import S/tb no probs.

Cheers
