Question Classic Insurance for Import Imprezas?

hi all,

does anyone know of any company that does this? for instance Houghton Insurance Bureau will do it for 10 y/o Japanese cars - insured as second cars and with limited mileage restrictions. sadly, and i just got offf the phone to them, this excludes Imprezas, Skylines and Evos.

The MR2, Z and 200SX car clubs benefit from group buys on classic insurance from Houghton bringing premiums down around £200+ for the year (which my mate benefits from). Do we know if the SIDC offer any substantial discounts with selected companies for import cars?

Just seems a shame to be paying a huge amount of cash when the car gets used only at weekends, sometimes one weekend in two. any help advice would be appreciated.

thanks,

Kevin

cheers missie,

i think i had a quote from them a couple years back when i was using the car all the time and they were reasonably competitive with most others, but got blown away by Liv Vic (who don't do limited mileage policies). i think i ought to give A Plan a call. thanks for the number.

Micky

mine will be 11 this Nov, hopefully somewhere will do it. for now it seems a limited mileage policy is the option... though i haven't tried all many insurers yet.

which reminds me A-Plan were supposed to call me back with a quote.
