When I was 19, was insured on UK Turbo, was £2,800 fully comp.

Year before was £4,800 though!

That's illegal! You must not misrepresent yourself as the named driver if, in fact, you are the primary driver.

who said anything about misrepresenting yourself? tell them you're the primary driver but put your old man's no claims on the chopping block

I had a UK Turbo at 20, premium was something like £1,800.00 fully comp. Went down to £1,300 at 21, £1000 at 22 and now £1,350.00 on an STi8 but I've picked up an SP50 recently

All through Tesco's, the only people to give a half decent quote, elephant second in line but neither would touch me on the STi till I turned 23.

Don't even bother with confused.com! I just did an online quote, as I was waiting, a young girl from ensleigh gave me a call. After 15mins of confirming what I already filled in online, she was very happy to inform me that I could be insured with them for only 4250 squid!!!!!!! I burst into laughter explaining how i'm already with tescos for 1600, and elephant have quoted me 1200 for next year. I'm 22, 4years ncb, sti 4 with alloys.

Yeah they were the best I found at the time - Im 27, driving for 4 years, always was a named driver on my ex wifes insurance so I got stung about - I am paying £1700 on MY97 UK turbo. Insured upto £8000 excess £250 - and have legal/breakdown and all the jazz with it. Noone else came close.

Good news is I get 1 years no claims in October - then I will get fully comp for approx £1200.

Can't bloody wait!

Yeah www.lloydstsb.com they're really cheap for some reason, they required a tracker though, best thing to do is put an older person on the insurance with you drops it loads, without my old man on the insurance its around £1000 with its about £700ish. cant complain.!

Dude, you are having a laugh, cheap???

I just tried them for a quote and they came back with 2063.25.
I'm 27, full no claims, no convictions on a 2003 unmodded WRX.

I live in glasgow so my premiums tend to be a bit higher, but i was quoted 934 from Brentacre today and they are saying that that is for fully comp with guaranteed No Claims, plus legal cover etc.

My renewal from privelage was just over a grand as well.

How much do u wanna pay?
Ie. if u can afford to pay £1000 for instance and u ring up 4 a quote say u have had a quote through lloyds for £1056.77 blagg em, but u need to make it sound believable like i said say £1056, if u ring up and say £1000 mate they'll just say F@*k off straight away.
£1056 sounds like a proper quote.
Hope it helps it certainly save me £££s over the years

Forgot to say that my quote from Lloyds was including a Tracker Horizon.
I'm quite chuffed with the brentacre one, especially as i was told that wheels, exhaust, induction kit, lighting, bodywork and spoiler mods would not affect the premium. The only thing that would affect the premuim were changing turbo's, chipping or any major power increases. I asked how much extra it whold be if i was to fit a PPP and the guy said adout £150, which isn;t too bad.

i got the name and number from an advert in the SIDC mag.

Yeah, i've tried a few others but brentacre are still the cheapest. I thought i had found a winner with norwich union until i noticed that the excess was well over a grand.
