I have my subaru insured with Elephant who said they will duplicate my NCB for another car. I bought an old diesel citreon for work and was £210TPFT with my "second" NCB. At renewal for each policy each one will be a full NCB. They are only £700 for the Subaru 27yo Glasgow postcode.
I believe that admiral and Bell direct also offer this service

Mini,
I bought my current sti8 before selling my Classic. Rang Privilege (current insurers) and they readily agreed to transfer the policy over to the new vehicle and then arranged temp cover on my Classic for a monthly fee. The cover was for a maximum of 90 days in any 12 month period and worked out at £65.00 for the month. I ended up selling the car within a week or so and they refunded £57.00 on cancellation.
Same level of cover applied to the second car (fully comp named driver etc) Saves you taking out a second policy if you know you're selling the car at some point and know most insurance companies offer similar schemes
Hope this might be useful.
