Any Good Insurance Companies Out There

My first renewal is up for my new Impreza Turbo (MY2000, but registered 2001).
My renewal is due in a few days. Does anyone know of any good insurance companies that aren't going to offer me some ridiculous quote?
I'm 28, 7yrs NCB, no accidents, no points, and no real reason to be expensive, apart from the car!
Also, are there any that offer discounts for advanced level trained drivers?

I had been with Norwich Union for a few years and the premiums had been creeping up and now they wanted over £900 for a grey haired old 49er with many years no claims and named driver only.
So decided to ring round and found NFU Direct quoted me £660 so have given them my business.
Andy.

SCD Simon,
I'll second that vote for frizzell, superb service, and over £200 cheaper than any previous quote. No extra for 17" wheels or full magnex exhaust![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif)

Cheers Guys,
It's all sorted now. Just a little feedback for you.
Remember, 28, 7yrs NCB, No accidents or points. Low risk Worthing. Protected NCB required.
The quotes were as follows:
Admiral(renewal) £920 (£250XS),
Eagle Star £1518 !!!!!!,
LloydsTSB £refused to quote (under 30),
TheAA £850, but then including alarm and increasing XS raised it to £1170 !?!?!,

Try Hastings Direct. I am 32, an IT Consultant with 6 years NCB, no claims or convictions. I got a quote for £517 for an MY98. This includes protected NCB, legal cover and a £250 excess.
I've used Hastings for years for my cars and bikes and they are excellent. I have had a few claims (TF for protected NCB!) and they have delivered when it counts.
Regards,
OldSkool

Hi
Shopped around for my 95 UK Turbo and ended up with the RAC age 35 cost £590, full NCD no points etc, wondered if the SIDC could get any discounts but at the time was not a member
