Me
--
25 years old
6 year no claims
6 year licence held
no points
no accidents or claims
Standard UK DBM00 except SS Back Box
Parked on private driveway

Last years best price £1400

Quotes so far
Priliage renewal (previous insurers) £1240
Barclays - £1499 with £100 excess
Tesco - £1093-05 - wanted tracker installed
Churchill - Must be over 30 with a Scooby!
AA - £1567.05
Direct Line - £1067 to £1131 depending on extra voluntary excess (ie. £0 to £150)

Depressing to say the least. So much for being 25 and seeing a noticable drop in insurance. Has anyone got any other company names that I can call.

Regards,

Jules

AXA Direct £1257-60

I quizzed him about insurance prices and he told me about the floods and lots of personal injury claims pushing up the prices since last year

I'll continue my quest...

Unhappy

Jules,

I bought my MY99 UK Turbo in March and got insured with A Flux for 730 quid with 350 excess. Thats with clear indicators, magnex backbox and fully colour coded.

I'm 25, 5 yr no claims, no convic/points, 2 non fault accidents, driving since '94.

Didn't bother phoning anyone else coz I thought that was a superb price as I was paying 670 (+ another 100 for mods) on my 97P 306GTi-6 just b4 I got the scoob.

Angry

Its because of all the ad's on TV, "where theres blame theres a claim" rubbish.

People are claiming more for things they wouldn't have bothered about before.

And who pays the price?? We do..

There was an undercover program on tv a while ago about a ring of people setting up accidents that diddn't happen and actually claiming for injuries!!!

AHHHRRGGG makes me ANGRY.....

Cool

Greenlight 01277 263030

Mentioned I was a SIDC member and saw their ad in the mag

£880 with 400 excess

Saved £400 over my renewal and £600 since last year.... not bad
