Hi,
I got my renewal quote through last week from L&V through Frizzels and the price they quoted me was £854 and last year it was £916 thats full comp. Not much difference.
The car is a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 8v
this includes 65.5% No Claim Discount my dad a named driver. and i have almost 3 yrs NCB.
We live in Harpenden, herts.
I decided to phone around some insurers and i got a cheaper, a lot cheaper. Elephant was £592 online price.
Then i tried Churchil £640 full comp. Then i tried Direct line. that would not give me a quote because of my Back box
Then i tried Norwich Union £813.
I then tried Royal and sunalliance aka More Th>n they would not give me a quote as they said the car was too sporty for me
a astra 1.6 8v with 75bhp on incsurance gp 7 your having a laugh.
I then phoned up L&V to see what they said to as why my insurance was so hi...they said we will see if we can make it cheaper by increasing my excess. The new quote only came down by 30 quid and we left it at that. i thought, don't they want my business.
Some how i don't think ill be staying with L&V or the CSMA.
Darren
