Default Elephant.co.uk and PPP

Do Elephant understand PPP?

Anyone with them and then had PPP fitted - did it cost you loads extra?

Info needed while I ponder PPP fitting

Forget Elephant, they couldn't even find my subaru on their system and insisted that my UK WRX03 with PPP fitted was an import!!!. Then when I finally got them to believe me, they took over half an hour on the phone telling me that they are the best and came back with a quote of....... £1800!!!!!!!. I'm 33 and in a reasonable area, tracker monitor and immo installed, no claims, accidents or convictions in the past 15 years and they told me that the reason is because the car is 265bhp!. Go figure.... I will never use them again.

regards,

Question

TimUK1 - have you got a tracker? Egg, Direct Line & Elephant all seem to use the same online system and all want a tracker on my MY03 WRX wagon. (everybody knows that wagons are less likely to be knicked, don't they?)

All I can think of is that it depends on the day, who you speak to. I got nothing but crazy quotes and a load of trouble with Elephant and over £1000 more expensive than elsewhere.

I'm with Elephant and they were about £6/700 cheaper than most.!!!!
I'm 31 6 years No Claims, 24 year old Girlfriend on the policy 95 Turbo Wagon, Full Exhaust, Induction kit, Dump valve, Lowered and 17" Alloys all declared for £745 Fully Comp.
My old company that I'd been with for 5 years and insured 2x Porsches and a modified RX7 couldn't touch them.!!!!
And it's not got a tracker or Cat 1 alarm only a Cat 2 immobiliser.!!!!! (Soon to be sorted) I didn't think that was too bad.!!!!!!!

Elephant are generally ok 1st year and then they sting you on renewal - watch out also if you get any sort of speeding fine - elephant wanted about £300 more after the wife added one SP30 (the first she's had ever from a Gatso)

I tried elephant for my insurance on 03WRX with exhaust mods,18s fitted and my fiancee (25) im 27 and they wanted £1459
I then tried direct line and privelige they came up with £495 and £487

The Tracker issue seems to be if you have a newage you need one with every company but if you have a classic and are over 27 you dont need one!

That's a decent quote - much the same as my situation. Can you tell me if you mean covered for business travel in when you say Business ?
Greenlight just told me they won't insure my wife for business travel sadly. So miht be one to watch out for.
