Tesco: rip-off merchants.
My lad's car has just been in for accidennt repair after a daft bint stopped dead on an unlit 60mph road for a dog, and he slid into her
While he was off the road, a friend has sold on HIS car, and GIVEN him the alloys off it, a set of 17" Wolfrace, with decent tyres and 4 locking wheel nuts.
He just trang Tesco, and they want £54 for the remaining 3 months of the policy to include the alloys. WTF?
That's £216 a YEAR, and that after his existing 30% ncd.
That's more than the wheels cost new.
And his mate, next door, has just had a set accepted by HIS insurers for an extra £5 a year!.
To say my lad's not pleased is an understatement. He even went as far as to ask them how much he'd get back if he cancelled the policy, and they rubbed salt in the wound by telling him he'd get NOWT, (because he just had a claim), and would even owe THEM a month's insurance, or about £75, to cancel!!
