Told the insurance today that I had PPP put onto my car on Saturday, and the underwriters now refuse to insure me with this modification - so at the moment I guess I have no insurance cover - Maybe I should have checked first, but feel quite p1$$3d off ATM.

Think yourselves lucky ...... I'm thinking of changing my backbox to a stainless steel version and I am all of a sudden uninsurable if I do!!

Quote without a stainless steel backbox - about £290 from Dial Direct.
Tell them you may fit a stainless steel backbox when the standard one fails and they don't like it!!

I tried to get some sense out of Liverpool Victoria today ..... sounded like I was talking to a 14 year old girl - not her fault, but where are those that actually know what you want????
Specialist Insurance brokers I guess?? those who actually know what they are selling and can discuss things from a base of knowledge.
