Hi m8, a friend of mine got a turbo 2000 on a 97 plate and pays £1080 TPFT with one yrs no claims NCB through Quinn insurance. He is 21 yrs old, both car and insurance in his name. Might be worth trying them, hope that of some help.

As Maclean correctly identified, Haven do cover non-standard risks with adverse histories.
We do have access to Haven under an agreement via a wholesale brokerage connection and have been piloting their rates prior to offering in a live environment.
To elaborate upon our findings to date, Haven do not mind convictions or accidents and are primarily targetting TPF&T cover risks.
Cover wise the maximum vehicle values for which they will be competitive are £12,000 for Comprehensive and £7000 for TPF&T risks.
They will quote imports and UK vehicles for drivers aged 18+ TPF&T and do not require NCB, excesses applied usually start from a minimum of £500 and their premiums are geared towards those that cannot source cover anywhere.
Comprehensive cover is available, but they are not overly competitive unless you have NCB and proven experience.
Again, as Maclean once again correctly identified there are only a handful of Haven agents and Marketbalance are one of those. Marketbalance also act as the UK claims department of Haven, who are Gibraltar based and trade under the same freedom of services act as Markerstudy.
Hope this helps...
Kind regards
Tony
