Insurance Subaru Impreza insurance can be expensive, as with any performance car insurance. But the cheapest car insurance isn't always the best. Share your quotes, and experiences.

I'm with them - they were the cheapest, but IMHO have been absolutely hopeless. I don't know how they manage to be so cheap with the amount of post they sent me.

I just hope I never have to make a claim...........

I would never use them again.

I've had lots of problems with them in the last year(renewal due in March) with regards to Policy documents, no claims level, and mods.

Don't care if they are the cheapest this year, they ain't getting my money.

Hi chaps - whilst I'm all for freedom of speech and the exchange of usful information about companies can I just remind you that putting anything even remotely libelous in your posts could result in scoobynet being sued and therefore potentially shut down. Please think about how you word your posts very carefully as I really don't want to have to edit/delete threads. As a rule of thumb - if in doubt don't!

Cheers

Sal

Saphy - thanks

Basically as a guideline for anyone reading this if I were to call a firm 'a bunch of @rseholes' or something similar that statement would be libelous unless I could prove that they were a bunch of @rseholes.

NO END OF PROBLEMS - i insured my previous car with them, knowing i was going to change to an imported subaru about three months later, they said this wouldn't be a problem - i ended up letting the remaining nine months expire while i insured my subaru with DIRECT LINE. They were cheaper than AF and far more professional.
This says it all: call AF after normal office hours, they will answer the phone but you cant get help unless you want to start a policy. No prizes for guessing what their priority is!

In my opinion, I would suggest seeking out an alternative.

I sold one of my cars and wanted to know what I could do with my policy. They said all I could do was cancel or upgrade to another car, but when pushed to go and make sure they then advised me that I could pause my policy. I was told I would get approximately £130 if I cancelled so I decided to do this. After two months I got a letter saying that my repayment would be £75, and I would have to pay them £5 in admin costs for them to release this money.

I hit the roof, but they said I was advised incorrectly but there is nothing I/they can do as the underwriters have now cancelled the policy.
In otherwords, even though it was their mistake, and that I acted on their advice, TOUGH.

Just remember, if something does happen to be the cheapest it isn't always necessarily best.

P.s. Sorry Sal, wasn't trying to be so controversial but my blood boils at the very thought! Comming from a family of solicitors I know how carefull you have to be, and to say what I originally did was a bit of a 'Schoolboy Error'!! Hope that this is ok.
