Not sure if this is the right place or should try NSR.... Just renewed car insurance and was asked the usual question about where it's parked at home - it's usually parked on the drive in front of the garage, rather than actually inside the garage. Question: if something happened to it on the drive and I'd said it was normally garaged at night, would there be a problem - or would they just accept that it wasn't put in the garage that one time? How much more to say it was parked on drive rather than inside?

If it wasn't parked in the garage the insurers could easily refuse to pay any claim.
The difference between garaged and on a drive isn't always much anyway, is worth paying the extra.
FWIW mine is garaged 90% of the time, but i insure it as being on the drive just to be on the safe side
