Hi Guys,
Am looking for some advice on insurance before purchasing a scooby.
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of buying an import over a UK spec car from an insurance point of view?
Is there any great difference in insurance cost?
Who would be the best insurance company to use if I did buy an import or UK car?
Many thanks,
Dan

Depends on what your buying really, a new age wrx is a group 20 car, so is the STI but the STI will cost you more, a UK turbo is a group 17 car (208/215bhp) and the JDM classic WRX varies from 240ps to 280ps but those are group 20 (excluding the wagons).
Also age/ncb/area/points etc can have an effect on the cost of your insurance.
A hint at what your after may give us a better idea
as there are far too many impreza's to list ![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments.
I'm 31 with 3points and have 4 years ncb. Thinking of going for a 98 UK Turbo with some mods. Shouldn't be too bad really, but just wanted to know what an equivalent import is likely to be.
Thanks,
Dan
