Default Greenlight insurance WTF

Grennlight insurance dont do imports!!!!!!!!!!

here is what they say::

We thank you for taking the time to complete an online quotation enquiry.

Unfortunately the details entered into the system do not fit the required criteria for our specialist schemes.

However, if the vehicle is standard or only has a few minor modifications, we would recommend that you contact A Quote on 0800 298 2836 who should be able to provide a competitive quotation for you.

Additional Information:
We are unable to quote for Japanese Import Subaru models.

Sorry we are unable to help.

Hi Classic,

We've covered this a number of times over the last 6-7 years before buddy.

If you search on here you'll find our other posts, but it mainly stems from Subaru UK (international motors) not supporting repair or parts supply for imported vehicles.

This is nothing new, we have been supporting scoobynet for some 7 years and SIDC even longer but the imported restriction has been our stance for years now.

Advert wise, whilst there are imported owners on here there are also UK owners and we advertise on here as we cover UK Impreza models (modified or standard) of which there is still a large proportion of owners.

Our advert states "UK schemes" and doesnt mention import schemes as we do not look to offer cover for these models.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Tony

I think the problem is that people don't read all the bumph tony. Would it not be easier to put in a question - right at the start - that says "is this car an import?" If the person answers yes then a message saying "We will be unable to quote for this vehicle" should stop people feelign like they have wasted their time filling out all the initial questions and then complaining about it.

Just a thought.

LOL... that's just ridiculous then . In over 7 years of having imprezas in the same area i've never had a problem. A Plan and Keith Micheals have never had an issue insuring me and i was 23 when i initailly went with KM.
