New STI insurance
#1
Hi
New to the board. Anyone got any ideas on where to get v.competitive quotes for new STI? - Best I've got so far is £1300 from Priveledge (current insurer) - 33, Full NCB, no points, £250 excess - no garage though. Seems very heavy to me (50% more than my current MY99)
Any thoughts?

hi,
I was checking insurance today, and a 02 sti came out at just over 1500 quid. This is me as the only driver, 22, 5years NCB parked on the drive . An 02 WRX cam out at just over a grand, if that helps as a reference.
Both were with a navtrak proactive trackers, ignoring the fact that an sti comes with a tracker as standard.
Cheers
Chris
PS the above were all quotes with tesco

I got a quote online from elephant.co.uk. Came in at under £700 with protected no claims, garaged in Aberdeen, 11k miles per year. Came in at under £600 if I added my wife to the policy !
I was very surprised at how low this was. Having said that, the car isn't 50% faster than my current car

I know this seems a bit lazy asking, but i am deliberating over choice between WRX with scoobysport mods or STi Prodrive. 30, in drive and ncb. How do you think these 2 options would compare?

Ive just tried Elephant and quoted £757 for an Uk WRX STI :d:d SO not too bad but Iam an old git 47
I wouldn't have thought it would be much different with the prodrive version as changes are purely cosmetic and upgrades or mods aftewards are normally charged IMHO
