Insurance for new drivers

My girlfriend has just got her first car and now she is faced with the dreaded insurance. Can anyone recommend a good company for new drivers?

my other half found the post office gave the best deal, was on a fiat though

definitely ecar insurance its all done over the internet and were the best for me , only company that insured me on a Subaru for a decent price
