Hi There,

I have telephoned several insurance companies, although Im a married 29 year old woman, I have no no claims as I have always been on my partners insurance....can I get insurance for my 2003 STI....nope!

Everybody I have called so far wont touch me as I have no no claims...this sucks!

Just wanted to vent...

Have you asked the company whom insured you under your partners policy if they'll mirror the NCB ? Or if they will provide proof of the joint policy NCB if any others may honor it ?

Many like to see a history of safe use of similar "performance" cars.... try listing previous vehicles ?

Thanks for the suggestions...my hubby has put it on the companies insurance for now, I called A plan who were just about the only insurance company that will touch me as the car has been modified. I found most of the run of the mill insurance companies who gave me good quotes then ran a mile when i mentioned mods...lol.

A plan were very helpful, thanks again for al your help!

Try Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels too. The principal reason is that your modified items will be covered as opposed to simply notified. This means that in the event of a claim youll actually be paid out for them: ask A-Plan what they will do (the answer is: pay for standard parts only).

A-Plan insure you with mods. What they dont tell you is is you make a claim then youll be paid for standard parts.
