Help!

Tesco just quoted me £1950 for my catalunya and a few basic mods. 25, 1 years NCB. I knew it was going to be expensive but "what the ****!"

Any ideas? please.

Crawford

Keep shopping around M8

Was the quote you got online ? These can be grossly inaccurate on some sites. I was quoted £1745 by Elephant.com and I "only" paid £912 last year with Norwich Union Direct (37 years, Full no claims, etc).
Try a specialist co. like Adrian Flux who deal with younger drivers etc.

I agree about the internet quotes. I was quoted up to £2k for mine and eventually got it for £800. 26 with MY98 Spport, but pricnciple is the same. Wanted a turbo but for reasons of insurance went for the next best thing.

Nah, what do you think credit cards were made for?

Oh, btw that was a quote over the phone. It's going to be a lean year!

Panic over!

AXA direct quoted me £1500, and they don't care about mods as long as they are only cosmetic!

It's still a lot, but it's a bit more like what I was expecting to pay. I can't really expect much with only 1 years NCB.

Verdict, I'm a happy chappy again.
