Just considering getting a set of 17's for my my00, can't help thinking I'll end up paying for them every year, anyone know?

Just put 17's on my MY99 from the standard 16's and not a penny. They wanted to know what I paid for them and what they were and that was it.......

RON,
depends on the insurer. My 17's did not create a premium increase, well not this year, but that might be due to the loading the policy has due to other mods, but suffice to say that the morettes, downpipe, wheels and brakes have not increased the premium! which is nice!

basically, phone the ins co and ask them before you get them, then you won't have splashed out your hard earned to find out it will cost you more to have the wheels on the car

Cool

When you get to your age you can pretty much do what you like mate

My premium went up about 40-50 for a big rear spoiler, ss box and 17"s. The wheels on their own would not have effected the price... Depends on the ins comp though....

I think I need to change my insurance company! With 17's on my premium would go up by 20% ie. £200!!

having just rung my insurance co, I have been told that putting 17's on, will up the premium by 15%. Ouch!
All this for a set of wheels that I've paid £350 for!
I guess I'll have to do the ring round thing!
