Arrrrgghhhhh!!!

The cheap quote I had from Admiral (my current insurers) - £1170 - isn't even valid. I hadn't told them of the 3 points I picked up last September (Went over a traffic light on red - just - camera watching).

Now I've told them, it results in an increase in my premium of £520 - taking me insurance to the best part of £1700

Means the cheapest now is Adrian Flux (at £1392). The cheapest quote I've had is for a turbo!!!

Gonna phone Privilege and see how much I have to take off to get a reasonable premium - may be a Ram Air panel filter (and even ScoobySport zaust) up for grabs... watch this space

Unhappy

Should let people who aren't aware know:

I'm 24, with 21 yr old girlfriend, trying to get cheap insurance on a Sport

I have 3 years ncb, and 3 points for a TS10.

The car is slightly modded: 16" wheels, turbo seats, turbo spoiler, turbo suspension, SS zaust, Ram air filter, Cat1 alarm.

I've tried all the usual suspects: Privilege, Greenlight, Adrian Flux, Admiral, AXA etc.etc.
many won't even touch the car....
