Question

Sorry for the lame question guys - but:

I recently had to claim on my windscreen insurance. I've got fully comp and protected NCB. The windscreen people repaired the screen, so I didn't pay any excess.

My question is: when I come to shop around at renewal time, do I have to tell the insurance company I'm ringing about my windscreen claim? If I do, will it affect the premium they quote me?

Cheers -

Cool

Always best to mention it ..

In the case of my looking for new insurance MY01 WRX it did not affect the price with Tesco .. also they did not charge extra for mods such as morettes .

Cheers Scotty -

I expected a 'better safe than sorry' type reply. Good to know it didn't make a difference with you tho'.

I recently had to have my windscreen replaced under my insurance. I thought the whole point of this feature of your cover was that it didnt count as a claim, did not effect your insurance , and therefore need not be mentioned again.

However, I do appreciate the 'better safe than sorry' approach, and it may be an idea to mention it in passing - sure it wont have any effect anyway.
