I have replied to another post but thought it was worthy of it's own Old git 46, No pionts or claims, only driver on driveway friendly Postcode.
Went to Tesco.com for STI 7 quote ended up £770
so I rang Tesco's as my they are my present insurers couldn't believe it £548
My old my99 UK 208 bhp with xhorst & eibach's was £630 (was £560 but different excess) New STI7 UK 261bhp £548 strange but True 53hp and £17k more and £82 less

I wonder if they pay me to drive a 22B

Excellent quote Tony. I tried Tesco, and to be honest wasn't 100% confident that the lad I spoke to knew what a WRX was. I told him it had a turbo, and he replied that his system didn't show this (!), but that if it did, could I please add a Tracker....

The quote didn't seem to alter between a GX and a WRX either. Didn't instill much confidence!

So, I ended up going to Chris Knott - cheaper by about £80, and a lower excess. And, more importantly, I was confident that they knew about what I was seeking to insure.

Cheers, Harry.

Always best to clarify, Tony - don't give 'em an excuse to avoid the policy.

I can tell you're looking forward to the STi.....

Question

Mine is coming in 4-6 weeks, no definate date yet!!

Been ringing around and looking online for comparisons, nobody seems to know about the new STi UK car, I had one guy today insisting that STi 22B was the closest he could get to it (I wish....) New STi engine/gearbox on old 22B shell, nice thought!

No confidence in any of them at the moment, but I feel this may be working in our favour, especially if they class it the same as the WRX

Question

Rang Tesco's and my quote for £548 just increased by £112 to £660 I informed them that STI being lowered, Morrettes and fog lights.

Overheard the people talking saying no charge for morrettes but couldn't find foglights so class them as Neon's strange
