Guys,

I am looking to get an import 93 WRX as a second car ...
But am thinking it is a silly idea as the insurance is so high.

Here the situation !

Age 23
2 x Yrs Buisness No Claims - 6 mths personal.

Car will be garaged in the country near Oxford, with Tracker and Cat 1 alarm.

Only mod is exhaust - Magnex cat through.

Pls, please help as I will be gutted !

My only thoughts are that the car is worth approx £6000, with some companies 3rd party fire and theft is really cheap if it is less than £5000 ..

Or is this not a good idea.

To give you an idea Tescos was £1800 .. *gulp*

The insurance quote you got from tescos is not that bad espically with an import. For cheaper insurance go for a UK model should bring it down to bout £1400ish

The issue is that teh car is only worth £6000,

Tescoes quoted me only £1800 for a MY99 UK car worth £12k

Is there really that much difference with an import.
