Default Aviva quote and PPP

I got a quote on my MY00 UK Turbo fitted with the PPP. The modification options did not include the PPP so I rang to confirm the inclusion for th quote. The operative said that they would not consider the PPP as a mod as it is a factory option. Therfore I just insure my car as standard from the factory. Does this sound right? I'm not so sure.

What muddies the waters further from my perspective is that my PPP was bought privately as seperate parts and fitted by me, not Subaru/Prodrive. Can I still claim it has the PPP fitted although not certificated? The parts are all the same.

when i was with aviva /norwich union they had no idea what ppp was but they treated it as a modification,on my insurance cert it was listed as modified ecu ,exhaust and pipe work.make sure youre legit mate in the event of a claim they may use it as an excuse not to pay out.

I've spoken to them again and listed the parts of the PPP seperatly and they still come in cheaper than my A-plan renewal and Keith Michaels quote. Looks like they might be getting my business.

i went the other way, aviva s renewal quote was a bit steep so i ended up going with moleys outfit.funny how quotes can vary so much when nothing has changed other than you got a year older and hopefully a bit wiser.

Finally ended up changing from A plan to Aviva. Saved myself about 15% on the renewal.
