Theres an insurance section half way down the "subaru forums" page repost in there for responses from Insurers.

Also i got a really good quote from Quotezone, its a comparison site but the cheapest/best policy iv been offered so far (24 7years driving 5 NCB)

I doubt many will take on an import wrx with someone thats under 25 and been driving for only 8 months, don't think you will get much lower than that quote.

What on Earth were you thinking getting an Impreza Turbo in your first year of driving? be surprised if you get a better quote as most companies won't even consider you.

It would be less risky to insure Frank Spencer than a 23 year old bloke on an Impreza in his first year of driving...

Maybe consider building up your no claims in another car for a year or two?

So how many have you owned in your first 8 months of driving sounds like you've had a few? the way that's worded and what happened to them? also a lot depends where you live.

To be fair, I bought my old red UK classic when I was 22 and had been driving 9 months. Insurance was £1750 fully comp through Ecar. They insure drivers over 21 but group 17 and under. I just scraped in

When I was 21 and after driving 2 months, Zenith insured me for the 6 months previous to above Scoob on a WRX. This was the equivalent of £2500 for the year. Again very cheap considering.

Doubt Moley can help until a little experience is gained. He didn't help me until 14 months ago, but when he did, it shot down on the 205GTi

Welcome to the age and postcode lottery. I was 32 when I took out my last policy.

In Aug 09 I insured a 09 WRXD for less than I was paying for my 96 modded sport by £200.

All intents and purposes, I've never bought a car that I didn't have a reasonable insurance price already quoted and saved. It may have taken a looong time to get onel but they've always been 100% legit and honest - i.e. none of this new skool boy racer crap of having it in mummies name with you as a "driver"
