Default Its Driving My Nuts !!!!

Had the Scoob for a year now and insurance needs renewing next month so had a look at the online sites, damn they are high.

Before the Scoob I had a two year E class Merc and that was costing me £300 a year FC.

Everyone is trying to charge me 450+ for a non modified Scoob, and only cost me 330 last year with Swift and they havent as yet sent me a renewal price.

The insurance watchdog really need to come up with a more transparent way for insurance premiums.

In particular for a 39 year old, with 10 years NCB living in leafy Surrey.

I guess I will have to keep on looking...

Unfortunatley if you want a performance car you have to pay the premiums.

I'd gladly look at a quote for you, but it sounds like your premium last year was fantastically cheap TBH.

It is pretty rare that someone pays under £450 to insure a Subaru, although your age and postcode would certainly appear to help.

Yes.. I'd be interested in seeing your renewal figure as it sounds like they gave you a price which was far too cheap last year. As above it is rare to see an Impreza premium that low!

Even though you may present yourself as a good insurance risk, the awful claims stats associated with Imprezas means that you will always pay more to insure it.

Maybe its just ur prices ? U have quoted me almost 600 when others are 400 tops and even as low as 350 so its not beyond comprehension that we can get good prices( KM were 385 for the record, couldnt get hold of Mr Moley)

My company are more competitive at the higher end of the market than someone who presents themselves as a perfect risk.. saying that, I would encourage even the perfect risk customers to contact us.

I think the feedback on this forum alone showes that we are usually very competitive.

We do used 8-9 different companies, but it is still VERY rare that a Subaru policy is that cheap.

We do have one company who occasionally go down to those prices, but you have to be an ultra good risk to get it that low..... which is good news for you
