moley wrx - any chance at 20?
hey there, just wondering if anyone from scoobynet has had any success with insurance at 20 years old on a uk turbo 2000 wagon through gary? i will be 20 with 2 years no claims, normally would not consider any impreza due to insurance but I have been offered a beautiful, standard wagon at a very cheap price, i've heard gary @ KM is the best so I thought I would give it a try! so thats 20, 2 years no claims, low risk area on a t2000 wagon (standard) with my 55 year old dad, no claims, full no claims, no convictions as a named driver? is it possible?

brilliant chap, i will give you a call probably tomorrow as I wont have the time to make a decent call today. on the same wavelength, would it be possible to do this at 19 instead of 20? i'm working on the premise that I would have to be at least 20 for a somewhat decent quote, which would mean me buying the car and waiting until next january for me to get insurance. if I could still get an ok'ish quote at this moment in time at 19 it would be even better. I apologize if i'm now just talking hopes and dreams, though, so thanks for the time an reply moley

Yes, very true, but that is what I cant understand, imprezas are always SO much more to insure, a 200sx s14 I can get a somewhat reasonable quote on at 19 for 1500 tpft, but most companies wont even quote on a standard turbo 2000 impreza, the s14 was declared at 320bhp!
300 odd hp rwd LSD throw you sideways deathtrap for 1500 quid VS a 200 odd hp 4wd significantly less likely to put you into the hedge saloon for over 4000!
it really is madness.
