Question 1 Day Insurance

Hi guys,

I've looked thru old threads and seen one or two about this subject and from calling round and trying alot of online sites I've pretty much hit a brick wall.

Just wondered if anyone had a lead??

Its for a classic STI and most sites only insure UK cars or WRX classics, not imports... which is weird coz I've seen a few which day insure 22B's and if they're gonna do that why not do classic STI's??

If any1 has new info on this and knows of a company that day insures classic STI's please let me know... my bro needs it for this weekend.

Thanks
Alex

Try

https://www.tempcover.com/

http://insuredaily.co.uk/?gclid=CNXr...FcH42AodekY1NQ

http://www.rac.co.uk/day-insurance/

I know for a fact that dayinsure.com won't do it. Is he buying from a trader / dealer as sometimes these offer free 7 day insurance plans. Failing that, is he fully comp and covered TPO to drive other cars?

It may also be worthwhile calling them, as they list a Turbo 2000 from 94-00 so just say to them that it's a 2 litre turbo import and see what they say

The car isnt insured so cant drive it 3rd party... it needs proper day cover

I tried callin a couple and they said they dont cover imports at all.

It does actually appear that there are no companies which will do day cover for an import... I cant believe not even 1???

Ok had an amazing result... this enquiry was for my brother and it turns out his current insurance (which the yrs policy ends in 2weeks currently on a fiesta st), have said he can add the scooby to the policy for £24... I'm gob smacked!

Their own quote for him for a yr was in the region of £5k, so to insure him for 2 weeks for only £24... I'm amazed and I had it checked and checked again... its all legit

Happy Days - he'll make it for the tunnel run in his 1st ever scooby!!!
