Default SKY INSURANCE, WHAT A LOAD OF ****

Car insurance for 2009-2010 for my subaru impreza paid £956 through swinton ( markerstudy), renewal for this year £1256, phoned round and round as you would do, and got a price of £756 through sky insurance, so i paid a deposit of £250 on the 3/09/10 and signed all paperwork and sent back.

2 weeks later the first phone call telling me my premium had gone up £300 as i havent declared a crash from 2 years ago, but i didnt have a crash 2 years ago, it was my dad in his own car on his own insurance, he just happen to be on my policy that year as a second driver, but isnt on my policy this year. thought that was all sorted as it was cleared up in a few days........

1 month after and a direct debit payment later i was called by sky insurance saying the underwritters ( markerstudy ) would now not allow me to have my insurance at this price as they had already give a price to swinton of £1256 for my renewal, and have been told to pay £1256 or have your insurance cancelled!!! so a lot of phone calls and head banging sky insurance called me back saying as a gesture of good will they will let me have it for £900 !!! thats still a lot more, i wont accept this a looks like my insurance will be cancelled, any help anyone??

£900 is less than the £956 from the previous year. Thats not bad considering insurance has gone up for the majority

Thats absolute bollocks, Markerstudy (the insurer) wil offer different rates and schemes to SKY Insurance and Swintons (the brokers).

Similar how you can go to the likes of AA and RAC, both brokers and competitors, but both use the likes of Zurich as an insurance company and they come up with different annual premiums.
