Admiral Insurance and PPP
#1
I called by current insurer today to ask about adding PPP to MY01 and they refused. Admiral is a big insurer and I can't belive nobody else on their books has this mod.
Can anybody shed some light on how much the PPP adds to insurance premiums.

You can forget about PPP with Admiral. I spent 2 weeks on this, with letters being sent to their quality executive dept and underwriters, along with quotes from other insurers. No mater what angle I used the answer was no.
Even though I have been with Admiral for 7 years they just don't give a ****. Hence I will be changing my ins co within the next few months.
I'm surprised they even understood what you were talking about. I had to explain it at least 20 times what a PPP was. Even there so called technicl experts are useless. Fine for bog standard ins but crap for everything else.
Not that I'm bitter

Hi
I have business cover on my MY02 5 door with Norwich Union. They have just quoted me £230 extra on my premium for the fitment of the PPP.
My basic premium is not cheap however, and I also have a largeish excess figure to boot, because of the business use.
My tuppence worth.
