Rang SkyInsurance, they don't insure anybody with M as the start of a Post Code.

Ah well. Least I get to keep it for another year. I'll speak to Adrian Flux near the 25th and Renew with them

Keighley, nearish Bradford. I have just moved into an area that was a council estate 6 months ago with all the non insured and those that were insured claiming left right and centre to pay for their drug habit. It is completely different now with some nice houses but the insurance companies dont take that into consideration. Im according to their books now a high risk candidate.

It's not the road you live in, it's the surrounding area that you drive in.

It doesnt seem to be like that. When I was looking at compare the market.com it was 2/3rds the price to have it parked at my inlaws address, a 5 minute walk away. I very nearly decided to leave it there and just walk the distance to save a lot on the premium. Go compare seemed to offer much better quotes and it made little difference although it was still £50 in it.

Was their postcode similar? (ie BD)

The joys of internet quotes means you might not get the same price with the same details next time anyway.

Not until I tried gocompare anyway and then went directly with one of the cheaper quotes.

Odd, but then i hear very strange stories about internet quotes.
Was it the same insurer quoting both times?

Same insurers quoting the same prices. Odd is putting it mildly, I still cant get over the £500+ premium for having a prodrive sticker, why teachers are half the price of doctors and the exteme range of quotes with the same companies when using the two different search websites.

While you're on the forum would you consider upgraded alloys as free rein to fit wider tyres than was originally meant for the certain alloy in question? i.e. standard 16" to 17" declared but fitting 225s where they are 17x7 rims.

Short story!!! Got a cheaper quote through Swinton using a Company Called Comp Cars. Rang A Flux, told them and they have beat it and Dropped mine to £700 and the Mileage is 2K a year. I'm happy with that Gonna stay with A Flux for another year.

Have to say though, Swinton said I could have as many Body Changes as I like. It won't changed the price and the same with the Mileage. Might alter a tad with Engine Mods but not much. And got offered £50 cash back if I took it out

Worth a call for people who's Insurance Is due/coming up!
