Anyone else suffered with a renewal quote?

I used to be with Privilege but received a letter telling me that in an effort to improve their service, a new administrator is being used.

I phoned the renewal line, to be told my policy is one of many that has not had its details passed on - Would I care to repeat them?!!!

Being at work armed with only my policy number, it was impossible. Certainly not the improval in service I was expecting!

So exactly who is looking after my policy now, and if they haven't got my details how on earth did they send me a letter informing me that the insurance for my "SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 TURBO" would be handled by them??!?!?!

Again with Privilege
Asked them for a qoute for an RB5 following on from my WRX that's already insured through them. The qoute was good but was told that it has to have a Tracking device fitted, infact all Imprezas wether UK or Import now need one
What ever happened to that groupbuy on trackers

Tom - Thankyou. It was nice of you to spend the time giving me more information on the state of play.

I'm sure the future looks ever brighter for you...

Just cancelled mine with Privelige as I bought a MY 99, previously had 96 with a tracker. On top of the £900 per year (24 year old) they wanted a tracker as per my last car. Now they only accept one of the trackers (Monitor?) which is pricey and basically makes their quote £1500. You have to pay monthly charge for the tracker.

They really want their cake and eat it, the premium should be massively reduced with a tracker in terms of theft. You are almost gauranteed that if it goes missing you'll get it back. Plus tracker will give you £10 k if they can't find it.

I went with Greenlight as they don't need a tracker and are very mod friendly. I suggest everyone look at this option, to stop these blody communist insurers!
