If you can't afford to legally run a car, then it's best not to buy it.

You're making the assumption his policy will come with 3rd party cover for borrowing cars. A large number of insurers no longer include this extra cover so your advice may be useless as well as poor.

Its not cheap i said £1200 more than in november. My quote if i paid in 1 go is £2800 which i dont think is bad but cant afford all in one go for paying monthly it now shoots up to £4500 for year where as in november it was £3400.
Who do you insure yours with stig and what car is it?
I have thought about doing this and driving it third party on my policy but dont know the ins and outs of this which would be good if moley could clarify on this as i thought you could drive any car with owners permission if you had any car third party in your policy.

You can't tell some people, Gary.
I'll go with an industry professional with years of experience (who also happens to insure my Impreza very competitively) over a "he said, she said" random bloke on the internet.
Again, if it wasn't illegal then WHY ISN'T EVERYONE DOING IT?

I'll repeat ONE LAST TIME - if it was legal and 100% koshur, why doesn't everyone do it?
I'll leave it at that because I know you can't answer the question
