Default Insurance issue after inscident...

Hi there,

Basically my wife had contact with a lorry in her car back in April, there was no damage to the lorry and slight paint removal and a plastic arch clip was broken on our car, at the time as there was no visible damage to the lorry and not wanting to go through our insurance for such a small amount of damage, they swapped details incase of issues for police etc (wernt called or present at incident) and that was that. We had the car repaired at our local body shop and the bill incl. parts (arch trim) and paint etc was a little over £300 so as you can tell not much damage!
Now this morning we have a letter through the post from our insurance saying there's a claim being made against my wife for te incident that day? Wtf? Haven't herd nothing from no one about it until today? And now the insurance co. is saying because we didn't notify them we are in breach of the insurance contract?
Any one had similar issues or know we're we stand in all of this?

The lorry driver is probably trying to claim PI and making out it's your wifes fault

If there's no proof no pix or log etc ESP after this much time surely they haven't got a chance in court?

I'd guess he's managed to 'find' a witness.
