How does everyone work it?
At the moment I have my policy for the impreza, £600ish, but need to get another car so I need either a dual car policy or mirrored NCB.
Sky (my insurer) only mirror the NCB and I have been quoted £420 for a Mondeo/Saab estate which in comparison to the Scooby which is fully kitted out on the policy is quite expensive.
What does everyone do, is this the norm paying about 1k a year for 2 cars?![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)

You just need to go with someone who will mirror some or all of your NCB for the first year, then after that you can put your every day car with whoever's cheapest as it'll have its own NCB. I'm paying about £200 for my evey day toyota Yaris and £380ish for my scoob.

Or four . . . . And three motorbikes!
Ok, not four cars yet, but the missus is looking at an mx5 for the summer.
I really don't get how insurance company's come up with their figures.
We have a mk1 golf cab that is on classic insurance, so about £150 a year.
Of our two other cars, I insure the scoob, which has gone from about £350 the first year and has risen, and then dropped a little, to £580 the last year.
My wife insures our volvo v50d for about £300ish.
We are looking at swapping the insurance around, me on the v50 and she on the WRX. As the scoob is up for renewal beginning of next month I went on direct line website (current insurer) and got a couple of quotes for me on each car.
Well chuffed at the scoob coming in at £241, so thought I would be in for a treat with the Volvo. Nope, that came in for me at £251. Really don't understand this!
Anywho, after a few quotes on the website for confused people, the Volvo comes out at £160 for me and the scoob £269 for the wife.
It is a minefield when it comes to prices for the mx5 as well, all seem to be around £300 on a new policy for the wife, although for some reason a 1.8 sport model comes in cheaper than a slightly older, cheaper 1.6 version. Again, struggle to understand where the numbers are plucked from.

Basically what you need to do is search around for the cheapest quotes possible on line, then ring someone like admiral and get them to match it, I do it every year and they always equal or beat my cheaper quotes.
Even if your car has got modifications they might still get a deal done for you.
