Default Insurance renewal week

So the time has come for me to renew my insurance on my 2005 sti ppp

I'm currently with sky insurance who I've been very happy with for the last 2 years but I'm going to be getting quotes this year

So I've not had my renewal price from sky yet and I'm not sure where they will be on price as I changed car from mk5 gti to the scoob mid policy so it was adjusted

So I'm looking to make a list of companies/contacts for my quotes , so all advice would be welcome

30 year old , 9 years no claims , good northampton postcode , standard car

Fire away guys

Im with sky but greenlight, aplan and keith michaels are well thought of on here too. Get some quotes and see what sky can offer you.

Spoke with Gary at keith michaels, very helpful and matched it so stopped with them.

I was with Sky who were very pleasant to deal with. I'm currently with greenlight and I can't speak highly enough of how they've treated me when it comes to getting cover. It's so refreshing to speak to a company and not feel like you're an inconvinience to their day.

I rang up for a quote on my V6 sti yesterday for an idea (as I was still trying to decide whether to keep my wagon) and ended up taking out another policy with them there and then. All mods declared (remap, AP brakes, exhaust, P1 wheels) and it was amazing value.

Sky and Greenlight are the only two companies I'd currently recommend after 20years having sports cars insured. Both very helpful and treat you like the customer you are.

Most companies make you feel like some second rate criminal for driving a fast car.

I'll be honest dan , I've tried you before a couple of times and you've not even been in the same ball park, almost double in fact

This is no reflection on you personally obviously , I'll give you guys a call on Monday and give you another chance , are you running any special scoobynet promotions or impreza specialized policies etc like others ?

Thanks john

So far sky have quoted me an ok price , same overall package as last yearso I know what to expect

Green light I was very very impressed with , very chatty , shown genuine interest in me and my car , quoted me a good price and advised me on a great scheme they run that allows you to modify the car all you like and the policy never goes up , on top of that all mods a more covered like for like

A plan , again very helpful , knew the car very well , said he would make some calls and phone me back , returned my call when he said he would and said he'd found some good cover at a good price but thinks he can find better , calling me back Monday once some more brokers are open again

Keith michaels , need to call them on Monday as there closed Saturdays

Adrian flux I'll call Monday too

Any others guys ?

Sorry to hear about that, just let them know your from a forum site and Dan advised you to give us a call. Hopefully we have some more competitive markets for you than we have in the past. Always worth a try!
